Jinkei Sanders

Personal Trainer Jinkei earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from Rowan University, and his personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise. He is certified in adult and pediatric first aid and CPR/AED through the American Red Cross.

He trained in boxing from an early age through college, including while studying abroad in Japan. Prior to his work at the Center, he was a boxing coach, instructing ages five years to seniors, and trained amateur to professional fighters.

Jinkei’s workouts help strengthen and condition, whether for improved sport performance or weight loss goals. His experience includes training diverse populations, from beginners to veteran exercisers. When appropriate, he incorporates boxing into his fitness sessions for exercise, teaching self-defense, or increasing confidence, discipline, and focus. He believes in the unique path boxing provides for those on their fitness and wellness journey.

I have been training with Jinkei for months now. Each of our training sessions is customized and exciting. He is knowledgeable, with attention to detail. Jinkei uses diverse exercises to target where I need to strengthen and tone my body. I was a ballet, tap, and jazz dancer and teacher for years. He helps me keep my body in shape, and has a good demeanor while doing it. Jinkei is a great personal trainer. I highly recommend him.

When I first met Jinkei I told him I wanted to work on building muscles, especially in my core and legs. His method of exercising is simple but so effective. I’ve gotten much stronger. Today, I’m in less pain than when we started together about six months ago. He encourages me. Jinkei ensures I use correct form to maximize results and avoid injury. He helps me feel safe when we try new exercises. He makes adjustments (sometimes on the fly) due to my limitations, which I really appreciate. After much badgering on my part, Jinkei added boxing to my routine. I enjoy it immensely. I cannot believe how 10 minutes of boxing can make me sweat so much! This gives me a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of our sessions.

Plus, I really treasure how nice and funny he is. His good-natured character makes the hour-long workout fly by, and keeps me coming back for more. In fact, I feel so much better, I just added a third day to my workout week. I still have a long way to go before I reach my final goal, but I’m certain with Jinkei by my side, I’ll get there. Words cannot justly express how grateful I am for him and the Center.
