In his free time, Ramoncito enjoys comic book art. He also practices Arnis, a type of Filipino Martial Arts.

Mon’s Success Stories
I have tried many times in my life to start an exercise regimen, and it never lasted longer than a month (often less than two weeks). I came into RWJ on a whim one day and began a trial period with Mon. It’s been over a year now with Mon as my trainer, and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since high school. Mon has the perfect mix of encouragement, support, and drive to keep me exercising regularly and push me past where I thought I would go. I would have given up a long time ago without his help.
Mon is the best! He motivates me to push myself outside my fitness comfort zone, and he also makes it fun! If you want to build muscle, burn fat, and laugh all the while, Mon is the personal trainer for you. I can’t thank him enough for the results I’ve seen in the year since I started training with him. I’m excited for more results to come. Every session is unique. He is genuinely interested in knowing what I want to work on and how to help me achieve the results I seek. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. It is all thanks to Mon.
My trainer, Mon, has helped me reduce my back pain. He reassures me I can do certain exercises that I would never try on my own. He is patient and cares about helping me get healthier. I actually come to the Center and work out on my own, which I never thought would happen. Mon is a great guy. He is very passionate about helping his clients become a better version of yourself. I am lucky to have his help on this journey.
I have not done any personal training or exercise in many years. Rheumatoid arthritis always was my excuse. With encouragement from a friend, and a referral to Mon, I decided to try it. Mon has shown much patience, yet firmness, in helping me progress each week. The stretching has been great and, admittedly, the sweating as well. I am determined to become a stronger older person. Mon has given me the confidence and workouts to make this possible. I already feel the physical and mental improvements. I am very grateful to Mon.
Since I started training with Mon, he has been professional and knowledgeable. He challenges me. Mon helps me accomplish things I never saw myself doing. I have been working with Mon for a year and a half. It has been a great partnership. As an older senior citizen Center member, he has encouraged me to attempt new workouts. He reminds me that a lot of my capabilities are determined in my head! This encouragement has challenged me in a positive manner. I am the strongest I have ever been. I am eager to continue this fitness journey with Mon.
I have been training with Mon for about 9 months and I am very pleased with his service & professionalism. Prior to becoming a client, I had a job that required travel about 75% of the time which put a lot of stress on my mind and body. As typical with traveling and working on a laptop all day, I was experiencing daily neck, shoulder and back discomfort.
Once I began weight training with Mon, this discomfort virtually disappeared. I am now able to sleep comfortably and relieve my stress and pain through stretching and working out. I also changed my body fat composition from 30% to 21% in the first 6 months without any type of restrictive dieting or painful workouts.
One of the best parts of training with Mon is, it’s actually fun. I train 3 days a week and always look forward to our sessions and feel better after. He is very down to earth and truly cares about his clients. In our day to day activities, it feels like we always make time to care for others but we neglect our own well-being. I highly recommend taking a little time to give yourself that same care and treat yourself with the gift of personal training with Mon, you deserve it!
My wife and I started training with Ramoncito (“Mon” to his friends) about four years ago. We continue to benefit from his mastery of fitness training. He intuitively knows which body part needs which particular exercise. He delivers a holistic and varied training regimen, which has improved our aerobic fitness, strength, core, balance, and flexibility. His ability to motivate is Mon’s greatest strength. Now, we routinely do exercises we previously considered impossible. Each session is different, which keeps it interesting. He maps out a longer term program to accomplish fitness goals. We never would have made such progress without his expert guidance and encouragement.
I’ve been training with Mon for a little over two years. He is an extraordinary trainer: professional, dedicated, enthusiastic, and fun. I always hated exercise. Remarkably, I keep coming back to the Center for training sessions with Mon because I know it’s doing me good–mentally and physically. In fact, I actually look forward to working out with Mon. Last year, I had arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder. The outcome was not as I hoped. However, Mon helped me strengthen my shoulder and increase my range-of-motion. He encourages me to set challenging goals. He cajoles, encourages, and coaches me to accomplish them. Then, we set new goals that are even tougher! Mon also helps me with my new venture in ballroom dancing. Ballroom dancing (even my somewhat crude version of it) requires good posture, core strength, balance, and coordination– all of which Mon helps me achieve. I am fortunate he is my trainer.
I’ve been a training client of Mon’s for about five years. I appreciate him and what he has done for me. At 55 years old, I’m probably stronger now than I ever have been. He doesn’t expect less of me because I’m a middle-aged woman. We work hard and he challenges me– and I love it. He’s a stickler for proper form, which has been a great thing. Mon is a gem.
I want to commend Mon, my personal trainer, on keeping me motivated and focused. I have been training with Mon for over two years. With his motivation, I went from working out two days a week to now working out six days a week. Taking Mon’s advice, I incorporated more cardio into my routine, and added Pilates and yoga. I have been training with Ramoncito (Mon) since fall 2010. He is the finest trainer I have encountered since I began working with personal trainers in 2007. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to personal training. He understands how to work with seniors, men, women, and young people, regardless of their experience level. In addition, he has a great sense of humor. He connects with his trainees and brings out their best. I look forward to every session. After training, I leave the Center in a great mood. I have been training with Mon (Ramoncito) for over four years. I couldn’t be happier with my results and experience. Despite time limitations, which usually restrict me to working out with Mon just once a week , I have seen great results. My body composition has improved, with my body fat down to 20 percent from over 30 percent. My strength and stamina have improved tremendously. He has helped me tone and strengthen my body through a combination of diverse training methods, including powerlifting, cross-training, bodyweight exercises, and dynamic cardio. Mon has taught me over 100 exercises, while demonstrating proper technique and alignment to ensure a safe, efficient workout. His easygoing personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Although we have only been working together for a few months, I feel stronger and am walking taller since training with Mon. Also, my new blood work shows almost normal ranges now, which I think will cause my primary doctor to faint. I never believed I could find a trainer like Mon. Over the last few months, he has taught me the importance of stretching before weight training. Training with Mon led me to feel comfortable doing some light workouts at home, as well. When I arrive at the Center, Mon always greets me or finds me on the treadmill before our appointment. He enquires about my physical status that day, and we train based on that. Mon is very professional in his execution of my training programs. I also enjoy our fun conversations. I hope Mon is at the Center for a long time. If he is, I will be training with him.
