In his free time, Tom enjoys mountain biking and music. He studied music for six years. He likes the challenge of working with a variety of clients to meet their changing needs, the evolving nature of which he compares to composing on the spot.
Tom works to help his clients achieve results on the Exercise Floor that lead to a happy, successful life far beyond the Center’s walls.

Working with Tom was game-changing for me as I went through my cancer treatment journey. I worked with Tom every week through 8 rounds of chemotherapy and went into a 9-hour surgery stronger than I’ve ever been, especially in my upper body. I’m done with active treatment, and I’ve continued working with Tom to train for four half marathons this year. Tom always considers my goals while also maintaining a working knowledge of my health conditions to tailor our workouts to my body. After realizing my body fat was high, I started working out with Tom as a New Year’s resolution. After 2-3 months, my body fat dropped significantly, yet I didn’t lose any muscle. Tom helped with the workout and told me how I should eat, track my eating and workout habits, and improve my mental health because stress plays a significant role in my physique. He also helped when I went on a long trip or was too busy to keep up with the same workout routine; he told me what I could do to avoid losing my progress. As everyone knows, getting back to routine after a long break isn’t easy, but he’s given me great motivation to get back quickly. When I got injured, he thought of exercises to keep me in the game, yet not worsening my injury. Those are the help/tips I cannot get working out alone. I have been working out with him for almost 3 years, so that does say a lot. 🙂

It has been a little over a year since I started working with Tom, my Personal Trainer, and the experience has been transformative. Having been away from Personal Training since before COVID, I was apprehensive about jumping back into it. As a senior citizen, I had concerns about my shoulder and right foot, which I shared with Tom from the outset. He immediately focused on these issues and set me on a regimen of exercises designed to strengthen those areas. Today, those concerns are just a distant memory.
