I have a background in swimming and track. I specialize in endurance training for improved cardio and decreased time on the track, road, and pool. Plus, functional training and enhancing strength for daily activities.

Fun Fact:
I can speak four languages, and I am currently studying for dental school.

Why did you go into Personal Training?
I view Personal Training as a way to improve people’s daily lives. Helping someone get stronger, fitter, and more confident goes a long way and can improve other aspects of their life. I also view Personal Training as a way to improve my fitness and increase the longevity of my career.

I have had weekly private and semi-private sessions with trainer Swarndeep (Deep) for one and a half years, while my husband also trains privately with Deep twice a week. Deep’s tailored training programs have enabled us to become stronger, fitter, and healthier, and his approach is both challenging and caring. I will be 70 years old in a few months. With Deep’s weight training, I can now deadlift 135 pounds, which is heavier than my body weight. I feel great and energetic.

Back in 2023, when I had my first consultation with Deep, he asked me what my fitness goals were. I told him, “In six months, I plan to trek for mountain gorillas in Rwanda, and it will be physically challenging. I need you to get me in shape!” At that time, I was 69 years old and needed to improve my stamina, strength, and balance. And Deep made it happen! Not only was I able to do the trek, but I had confidence in my ability. I attribute this to the training plan Deep developed and his encouragement. He clearly described why I was doing what and made it fun.

I have continued to train with Deep and am so happy to report that I have continued to enjoy many more travel adventures. Training with Deep has exceeded my expectations — I am now going on 72 years old and can deadlift 128 pounds! My overall health and wellness continue to improve. My primary care physician, Dr. Gabriella Bowers, is most impressed.

I am sure you already know this, but Deep is a tremendous asset to RWJ and is making a difference in his clients’ lives.
