I had fallen into a bit of a rut with my workouts and getting to the gym. I was getting plenty of cardio but was a bit short on strength training. Honestly, I was a bit bored, going through the motions, get it done and get out, but not really feeling/seeing anything different. My goal was not to build muscle for aesthetics or to look a certain way. I’ve dealt with some health issues in the past and was looking to regain strength and endurance for the Zumba classes I teach, and to just be able to enjoy my workouts again. I had observed Hailey on the floor and how she interacted with various members of different fitness levels, and felt she could get me back on track. Training with Hailey is definitely one of the best decisions I made for my fitness journey. She listened to my goals, my concerns, and my perceived limitations, and turned that into a personal plan to get me back on track. Then we began to train, WOW…..she guided me through my workouts safely but pushed enough to get me to that next level. I couldn’t even think about doing a pull-up, let alone scapular push-ups on the ball??? Really??? Yes. Hailey not only helped me build strength and endurance (You can do anything for another 10 seconds), but she also transformed my body and my mind. I look forward to our sessions because with each one, I feel accomplished and ready to reach another level that I would not have been able to without her guidance and motivation. Her knowledge is evident. We don’t train certain muscle groups “just because,” there is a reason. She explains the why and how fully. Hailey observes, checks in, corrects as needed, answers my questions, etc., all to help me get the most out of our sessions. I not only feel stronger, but I feel smarter about my workouts. I feel I can go to the gym on the days we don’t train and apply what she has taught me, and can hear her motivate me to push because I CAN do anything for those extra 10 seconds.
