Congratulations to Ashley Gantner, RWJ Fitness & Wellness Center’s Personal Trainer of the Month for October 2014!
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication from the University of North Florida. She earned her personal training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association, and holds certifications in Pilates Mat and Reformer through Balanced Body.
She is experienced in various forms of exercise, including corrective movements, H.I.I.T workouts, circuit training, TRX training, mind-body aqua, and boot camp workouts. She has a passion for teaching Pilates, in personal and group settings.
Ashley specializes in fitness programs geared toward losing weight and gaining lean muscle mass. She focuses on circuit training to keep the heart rate elevated while working multiple muscle groups. This efficiently delivers cardio and muscle toning in one powerful workout. She values her clients’ time and makes the most of each exercise session.
A background in dance and competitive cheerleading ignited her interest in fitness. What began as a hobby, turned into her career. She has a strong interest in nutrition, and is an advocate for clean eating. She practices a naturalistic approach to diet. Her hobbies consist of kickboxing, Pilates, yoga, reading, and hitting the trails with her boxer Konan. Ashley loves to indulge in art and do-it-yourself projects.
Fun fact: Ashley grew up in Orlando, Florida and recently moved to New Jersey. She and her fiancé, an Air Force pilot, are stationed at McGuire Air Force base.
Ashley believes her clients deserve a unique fitness plan, developed according to their specific goals and preferences. She helps members determine what works for them, and makes it their own.
