After successfully working with a personal trainer, Tammy became certified by the World Instructor Training Schools and the American Council on Exercise to share those benefits with clients of her own. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional sciences and family and child studies from Rutgers, Cook College.
Tammy is additionally certified in hardstyle kettebell training, functional movement screening, TRX sports medicine training, and aquatic performance training in aquakinetics.
She enjoys working with teens to teach injury prevention techniques that will help them lifelong. She also specializes in helping senior adults live a more physically fit life through efficient movements and fall prevention, as well as introducing newcomers to the fitness circuit. She is skilled at training special populations, including cancer patients. Her ability to offer aquatic personal training allows her clients to expand their workout options. Tammy is also a boot camp gold specialist.
In her free time, Tammy likes traveling, entertaining, event planning, and fundraising. She loves spending time with her husband, children, extended family, and friends. And, of course, she is always ready for a good exercise challenge. Favorite food: chocolate.
Tammy believes there is no greater gift in life than the feeling of helping someone else. She knows “human beings were made to move” and is sure to motivate members to do just that.
