Kate (Krasimira) earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski,” in the Republic of Bulgaria. She is a certified tennis trainer through the National Sports Academy; and certified Pilates instructor from Fusion Pilates Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. She currently attends Mercer County Community College to become a physical therapy assistant. Kate is certified as a primary Group Fitness instructor from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, where she also attended the Practical Pilates Workshop. Her varied experience includes working as a Pilates and Group Fitness instructor, personal trainer, and physical education instructor.
With a focus on flexibility and core training, Kate manages to target the fitness goals of the Center’s diverse membership. Her sessions emphasize body-weight training to build strength from the core outward. She often incorporates fusion Pilates into her training programs, which is a mix of classic Pilates, yoga, ballet, and body-weight exercises.
Kate’s favorite methods of exercise include hiking, yoga, Tabata (a type of high-intensity interval training), Pilates, and resistance training. Her hobbies include fabric painting, jewelry creation, gardening, mountain and rock climbing, and target shooting. Kate’s favorite foods are yogurt and feta cheese. Fun fact: She was a consultant for Matthew Aldrich ‘s book, Pilates (Bulgarian adaptation).
Through helping members achieve a healthier lifestyle, Kate enjoys her own fulfillment. When her clients are motivated and happy, she is as well.
