John Dohanic

“Nothing is accomplished without passion,” is the philosophy of Personal Trainer John. He earned his personal training certification from the World Instructor Training Schools. John specializes in Aquakinetic Training and is a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. John enjoys the diverse membership at the Center, and the challenges that develop from serving such varied needs.

He customizes exercise programs for both the Exercise Floor and the Aquatic Center. His water workouts include using specialized equipment designed to strengthen the body in the stress-free environment of the pool. His experience allows him to create routines for a broad range of individuals, from active seniors seeking to improve balance to young athletes striving to make the team. He also is qualified to provide sport specific training for seasoned competitors.

In his free time, John enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, playing sports, watching movies, and cheering his favorite team (the Pittsburgh Steelers). Despite four shoulder surgeries, John is driven to live the healthiest life possible. He is anxious to put that determination and skill to work for his clients as they strive to reach fitness goals.
